Not only because of growing need for drinking water but also due to its rarity, the techniques of water supply networks are becoming increasingly more important. Water supply networks are becoming more complex because demands are clear: to bring quality drinking water in the cheapest way possible from the reservoirs to the consumers.The key pipe material used in this demanding task is polyethylene. Recent years have brought substantial improvements in this material. The third generation of polyethylene for pipe systems is already in use and, in most European markets, the use of polyethylene materials in pipe systems is growing.
